A Pair Of Unusual Antique English Gilded Mirrors – 19th Century

A rare pair of 19th-century English gilded mirrors, each featuring an elaborately hand carved frame with a softly aged gold leaf finish. The design combines classical motifs with an almost theatrical sense of scale. The frames are adorned with scrolling acanthus leaves, shell crests and floral flourishes, rendered in high relief and softened by a beautifully time-worn patina. The original mirror plates show gentle foxing, adding depth and authenticity to their reflective surfaces.
