Jingdezhen Hand-Painted Blue & White Lion Temple Jar 65cm

Renowned as the Porcelain Capital of China, Jingdezhen has been producing world-class ceramics for over 1,000 years. From imperial kilns of the Ming and Qing dynasties to contemporary artisan studios, its legacy is defined by exquisite craftsmanship, luminous glazes, and timeless blue-and-white artistry. Each piece is crafted by an artisan on a potter’s wheel and is meticulously hand painted in traditional shades of cobalt blue.

This striking temple jar is a classic example from Jingdezhen, hand-painted in rich cobalt blue with a stylised guardian lion's. The domed lid is topped with a sculpted Foo lion finial, symbolising protection and strength.
